The hard thing for me is making time to write. That's why I have a couple of days that I specifically blog just so that I have to do it. I also agree with Terry and it's one of the underlying reasons I do it. I want my kids when they grow up to be able to know their dad now and not some crotchety old, bitter guy. Just a somewhat old, somewhat bitter, guy.bubhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06061694804254423837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4736064210982210465.post-69926081315589243052008-09-24T06:09:00.000-05:002008-09-24T06:09:00.000-05:00No comment!!!No comment!!!Mark (under construction)https://www.blogger.com/profile/12409495851983178265noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4736064210982210465.post-26337743367112883722008-09-23T11:17:00.000-05:002008-09-23T11:17:00.000-05:00I've done the same as sojourner. I wanted to highlight what Terry said about getting ideas from reading other people's blogs. I get some of my ideas that way. Especially the "discussion" blogs. I don't "copy" anything. The posts just ignite a spark to write something or pull something out of an old folder from my past. Keep up the posting however few and far between!sojournerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03995591556892143652noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4736064210982210465.post-85324668770453470462008-09-22T15:11:00.000-05:002008-09-22T15:11:00.000-05:00The garden thing has been a challenge. I will do it again next year, and hopefully learn from this year's mistakes.Christyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18101046996892349364noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4736064210982210465.post-36758032708685614342008-09-22T11:10:00.000-05:002008-09-22T11:10:00.000-05:00Hi, it's me again. I'm always impressed with people that can actually grow vegetables in a garden since I'm green-thumbed challenged. We did grow a couple watermelons once. And I recently grew a healthy basil plant from seed. I've been wanting to try to grow a pumpkin for a few years but never remember until it's too late in the season. I need to write it on the calendar to remind myself.Brendahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13119045001431543471noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4736064210982210465.post-68748118930862060362008-09-22T11:04:00.000-05:002008-09-22T11:04:00.000-05:00That is strange about the "no comment" thing. It's just daily random stuff as you've seen. As I'm going about my day, something will pop into my head and I'll think... "I am sooo blogging about that"! Or sometimes I just want to share something that happened or read that day. Hope it's interesting to someone.

That is so wonderful what terry said about wanting to bless her son with memories. Great thought.

I enjoy reading your blog even if there is not a daily post. I play this dumb game with myself by trying not to miss a day. I'll admit I have waay too much time on my hands right now. Just the season of life I'm in.... trying to figure out where the Lord wants me to go from here.Brendahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13119045001431543471noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4736064210982210465.post-15506214042368604492008-09-22T08:21:00.000-05:002008-09-22T08:21:00.000-05:00That's really neat, Terry. I never thought of my blog being a journal for them to have later on. BTW, I really enjoy your blog. You have some great thoughts and insights.Christyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18101046996892349364noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4736064210982210465.post-1862600263525640012008-09-21T21:42:00.000-05:002008-09-21T21:42:00.000-05:00It's funny that you should mention this, because m...It's funny that you should mention this, because my latest post was inspired by your post from a few days ago. (I gave you credit--or blame--for the inspiration:) Usually, I simply write what I am thinking about. I may hear something on the radio, see something on TV, read a blog, read a Scripture, have a conversation with a friend or family member, or be preparing a Bible lesson for my small group. Also, I try to write something that I would be interested in reading. But mostly, I write so that my son will have something to read someday when I am gone. If I die now, he will not remember much about me, since he is only 5 years old. If I die when he is in his 30s or 40s, he will have several years of my memories preserved for him to remember me. I would like for him to know his father in ways that most children never know their fathers. I want him to know how I think and why I think like I do. Primarily, my blog is intended to bless my son, but it is open to the public because I don't mind others knowing what I think either.Terry Laudetthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17725093818552655944noreply@blogger.com
