Yeshua's Robe

I see Yeshua ahead of me.  He is encompassed with light. He IS the Light.  If I look to the left I see nothing but darkness.  If I look to the right- again - darkness.  I remember the Father’s warning, “Only be strong and very courageous, to guard to do according to all the Torah which Moses My servant commanded you. Do not turn from it right or left, so that you act wisely wherever you go.”  So I again look ahead and I see Yeshua. His robe is bright and it lights up the path before me. Up ahead I see green pastures and still waters.  Peace and comfort wash over me.

Then I notice that Yeshua has stretched out His hand toward me, beckoning me to take it and to walk with Him.  I know that I am going to go.  Where else would I go?  If I stay where I am while He moves forward, eventually I will be left alone in the pervading darkness.  I want to be with Him, so I take His hand. As we walk, I begin to more closely observe His Robe.  Before, all I could see was the brightness.  Up close, however, I see the details of the fabric.  The entirety of the robe is inscribed with beautiful Hebraic words. Some words I recognize, others, not so much.  On the back and at the top of the robe I do recognize the Hebrew letters:

את

"I am the Aleph and the Tav, the First and the Last. I am the Beginning and the End.” Yes, I am following the Right Person! The other inscriptions I recognize as Hebrew as well, I just don’t yet know their meaning.  But wait. With each step Yeshua takes, His robe moves along with His rhythm. And as it sways I can see the letters and words transforming from Hebrew to English, then back to Hebrew.  Knowing that I noticed this, He smiles.  I see the words, “righteousness”, “light”, “life”, “way”, “path”, “commandments”, “truth”, “liberty”, “delight”, “understanding”, “trustworthy”, “wondrous”, “straight”, “peace”.  Then I notice the tassels adorning the corners of His garment.  They glisten in the most beautiful shade of blue I’ve ever seen!  I look more closely and delicately inscribed on each thread I read:

I am YHVH your Elohim

Have no other mighty ones beside Me

Do not bring the Name of YHVH your Elohim to naught

Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart

Respect your father and your mother

Do not murder

Do not commit adultery

Do not steal

Do not bear false witness against your neighbor

Do not covet your neighbor’s possessions

Love YHVH with all your heart, all your soul, and all your might

Love your neighbor as yourself

Yeshua’s beautiful robe is fashioned from His Torah!  He is walking in the Torah!  His Torah is lighting the path as He leads the way – to the Father!  Again, He smiles and then He nods His head.  His eyes twinkle with delight because I finally understand what He has been saying all along:

My Word is a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path.

For the commandment is a lamp, and the Torah a light.

I am your Light and your Deliverance, whom should you fear?

I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.  You will get to the Father by Me!

Great peace have those loving My Torah, and for them there is no stumbling-block.

I am the Light of the world. Follow Me and you will not walk in darkness, but you will possess the light of life.

Yes, I am so glad that I took His hand.  I am His and He is mine!  Apart from Him I can do nothing, but with Him, and I can do all things!  Now that I’ve trusted Him enough to follow Him, I am clothed in His Righteousness – His Torah. His Torah is the Way.  His Torah is the Truth.  His Torah is the Life.  Yeshua is the Torah!

“I greatly rejoice in YHVH; my being exults in my Elohim. For He has put garments of deliverance on me, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.” (Isaiah 61:10)

“My eyes have pined away for Your deliverance, and for the word of Your righteousness.  Do with Your servant according to Your loving-commitment, and teach me Your laws. I am Your servant – make me understand, that I might know Your witnesses. It is time for YHVH to act! For they have broken Your Torah. Therefore I have loved Your commands more than gold, even fine gold! Therefore all Your orders I count as right; I have hated every false way.  Your witnesses are wonders; so my being observes them.  The opening up of Your words gives light, giving understanding to the simple.  I have opened my mouth and panted, for I have longed for Your commands.  Turn to me and show me favour, according to Your right-ruling, toward those who love Your Name.  Establish my footsteps by Your word, and let no wickedness have rule over me. Redeem me from the oppression of man, that I might guard Your orders.  Make Your face shine upon Your servant, and teach me Your laws.”  (Psalm 119:123-135)
